2021 Spring Baseball Sign-Ups!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to another year of Polson Baseball! We can’t wait for this snow to melt so we can get on the field for a great spring baseball season. Included here are a few reminders, important dates and some very important information so please keep reading!

If you were signed up for our 2020 Summer League that was canceled, please be sure to let someone know at the time of registration.  We will be deducting half of the Summer cost from Spring Registration fee.  If you have any questions please contact a member of the PYB Board.

After registrations are finished, we will do our best to quickly form teams and assign Coaches. We will try to honor your team and coaching requests the best we can but keep in mind we also try to create equally competitive teams across the league. Players will be assigned to the appropriate league based upon their age, not year in school. To be considered to play in a league above the designated age a player must demonstrate adequate skill and obtain approval from a member of the PYB Board.  We cannot move players down in age group due to insurance reasons.  Every effort will be made to ensure players compete at the appropriate level.

We normally try to get practices started by April 1st, but of course that is dependent on the weather.  Once teams are decided, information will be coming from coaches.

Remember, all bats need to be stamped with the USA Baseball marking to be considered legal. Please check with your coach prior to your first game if you are unsure about your bat(s). You can also go to the Babe Ruth website at and click on the “Bat Information” link on the players page.

Here is the important part:

Polson Baseball needs you!  The success of Polson Youth Baseball and Polson Baseball over the years has relied on the many great and generous community volunteers and I am hopeful this legacy will continue.  If you are interested in serving on our Board, willing to coach, or be able to volunteer for field maintenance or concessions, please let me know.

We look forward to a fantastic 2021 Spring Baseball Season. Please contact us with any questions and be sure to follow us on Facebook @polsonbaseball.

2020 Spring Season Cancelled

We are disappointed to inform you that our spring season has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus. State regulations have required shut downs that will stretch too far into the season for us to salvage.

We will be working to issue refunds in a timely manner.

As was mentioned before we had already ordered fundraising candy bars prior to the current situation presented by the pandemic. If you are interested and able to help us or would like to purchase candy bars please let us know and we will communicate a plan for delivery.

Thanks for your patience and get out in your yard with your kids and throw around the ball.

3/31/2020 COVID-19 Update

Polson Baseball Community,

As of now we are going to continue to follow the MHSA guidelines and hold out hope that there is a possibility of a shortened spring season. We are still planning on re-evaluating the situation on April 13th. With that being said, we are not ordering jerseys or incurring any costs until we know that we will have a chance to play. Unfortunately, prior to the COVID-19 outbreak we had to order the candy bars for our annual fundraiser. We have been in receipt of these candy bars for several weeks and will need to sell them in hopes of still raising funds for Polson baseball and to minimally offset the costs we incurred from ordering them.

If you would like to purchase candy bars they will be available for $1 a piece and the funds will go to offset expenses already incurred as well as begin to prepare us for many of the projects we hope to begin to undertake to grow the Polson Baseball program.

We will share more information on how you can purchase and receive candy bars as we continue to navigate the current COVID-19 protocol. This will likely be addressed once the current stay at home order is lifted.

We will also be in communication with you as we approach and make final decisions on the season as we near the April 13th date for season evaluation. Thank you for your patience and understanding! In the meantime, get out there with your mitts and keep those arms warm and those fingers crossed!

COVID-19 Corona Virus Updates

Polson Baseball will be monitoring the Covid-19 virus and the instruction provided by local and national health authorities. As practices are not scheduled to start until April, no cancellations or actions are being taken yet. We will do our best to keep you updated as we work to ensure the health and safety of all players and personnel. In the meantime, get outside with your kids and start tossing the baseball!
